About the role

Design Systems play a critical role in ensuring the product is consistent and efficient, freeing up smart people to work on hard problems for their organizations instead of the busy work that often comes with their jobs. We hold design to a higher standard than others in the industry, making it an important differentiator for us. The user experience is essential in building trust with our customers, so they feel confident that important aspects of their business run smoothly for their employees.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer with extensive experience building and managing design systems. The ideal candidate is passionate about bridging the gap between engineering and design. This role will work closely with Frontend engineers and our product design team to create experiences that solve real everyday problems for employees.

  • Design and Implement: Lead the design and implementation of our design system, creating components that provide power and flexibility while ensuring simplicity and ease of use.
  • Enhance and Expand: Continuously improve and expand the design system, ensuring it evolves with our products and stays ahead of industry standards.
  • User Research: Partner closely with our user research team to collaborate on and support UX research projects, using research findings to inform and refine the design system.
  • Design Reviews: Participate in design reviews and regularly share your work with the design team and company leadership, ensuring alignment and consistency.
  • Technical Understanding: Understand the array of technical constraints and capabilities, user goals, and business requirements that shape our design system.
  • Quality Assurance: Work with Engineering to ensure the quality implementation of the design system, supporting seamless product launches and updates.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with designers on your team to develop and expand the design system.

What you will need
  • 5+ years of professional work experience in an individual contributor role on a Product Design team. Ideally in a Design Systems team
  • Experience leading and mentoring other designers from an individual contributor role.
  • Experience owning the end-to-end design for a product.
  • An outstanding portfolio showcasing in-depth knowledge in user experience, interaction, and visual/user interface design.
  • Experience shipping high-quality product experiences.
  • Experience validating design decisions through user/usability research.
  • Experience partnering with Product Managers, Engineers, and Product Designers to execute on UX deliverables.
