Role Overview
Orlando Soccer School Lake Nona is seeking a candidate for its Girls Academy - Aspire Director position.
The Girls Academy - Aspire Director is responsible for coaching teams within the program, in addition to collaborating and overseeing the technical and developmental framework of the Aspire League Girls Academy teams, ensuring a consistent, high-quality environment for player development and competition across all participating clubs.
The Girls Academy - Aspire League is a competitive youth soccer platform dedicated to providing high-level playing environments, meaningful competition, and holistic player development opportunities for girls across multiple clubs and regions.
The league works closely with member clubs to create structured pathways, support coaching education, and elevate standards across the girls’ game.
This individual will work collaboratively with club leadership, coaching staff, and league administrators to implement development standards, support coach education, and establish a clear pathway for elite female players within the Aspire League structure.
Additionally, the Girls GA Aspire Director will ensure alignment of technical standards, competition structures, and player development initiatives across all Aspire League member clubs to promote consistency, collaboration, and long-term growth of the girls’ game.
The position reports to the Girls Director, and Director of Coaching.
Responsibilities
Player Development and Curriculum Implementation
- Deliver high quality training sessions aligned with the club’s GA Aspire player development curriculum and methodology.
- Implement age appropriate training models and monitor player development progress.
- Provide individualized feedback to support long term athlete development.
- Lead with player evaluations and contribute to player development plans within the Girls GA Aspire program.
Team Management and Match Preparation
- Plan and lead weekly training sessions in preparation for Girls GA Aspire competition.
- Manage team performance during league matches, tournaments, and showcase events.
- Analyze team and individual performance using video review, statistical analysis, and coaching evaluations.
- Foster a professional team culture centered on accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement.
Player Development & Curriculum Implementation
- Develop and implement a player development framework aligned with best practices in girls’ soccer development.
- Provide guidance to coaching staff on age-appropriate training models and player development principles (e.g., USSF, UEFA, or other relevant governing bodies).
- Monitor player development environments across Orlando Pride Lake Nona teams and provide feedback to ensure quality and consistency.
- Support initiatives that enhance the holistic development of female athletes, including technical, tactical, physical, and psychological components.
Coach Development & Education
- Drive the recruitment, mentoring, and development of qualified girls academy coaches.
- Organize and lead coaching education initiatives including workshops, clinics, and mentorship opportunities focused on the girls’ game.
- Promote best coaching practices and ensure alignment with the Aspire League development philosophy.
- Provide guidance and evaluation tools to support coaching effectiveness across member clubs.
League & Program Management
- Work with the Girls Director and Director of Coaching to develop long-term strategic plans for the Girls Academy Aspire.
- Establish and maintain technical standards, competition guidelines, and developmental benchmarks for participating clubs.
- Support club directors and staff with academy structure, team formation processes, and player evaluation frameworks.
- Assist with the organization and oversight of Girls Academy Aspire events, showcases, and league programming.
Alignment of Orlando Pride Lake Nona Teams
- Work closely with Girls Director, Director of Coaching and coaching staff across Orlando Pride Lake Nona teams to ensure a unified player development philosophy.
- Develop and implement standardized guidelines for training methodology, player evaluation, and academy structure across the league.
- Facilitate collaboration between clubs through coaching forums, shared learning opportunities, and inter-club initiatives.
- Support talent identification and player pathway opportunities within the Aspire League ecosystem.
- Provide regular reporting and analysis on player development and competitive standards within the Girls Academy.
Community Engagement & Parent Communication
- Serve as a key resource for clubs, parents, and players regarding the Aspire League Girls Academy pathway and development model.
- Support educational initiatives that communicate the league’s development philosophy and expectations to families.
- Promote the Aspire League mission through engagement with regional soccer communities, clubs, and governing bodies.
- Advocate for the continued growth and visibility of girls’ soccer within the Aspire League network.
Competition & Pathway Development
- Work with league leadership to ensure teams compete in appropriate environments that support development and high-level competition.
- Assist in organizing showcase events, league competitions, and talent identification opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with college coaches, scouting networks, and professional environments to support player advancement opportunities.
- Attend league events and matches to evaluate performance standards and provide strategic recommendations.
Qualifications & Experience
- USSF A/B License, UEFA B/A License, or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of coaching and leadership experience within the girls’ soccer environment.
- Strong knowledge of player development models and long-term athlete development principles.
- Experience in coach education, mentoring, and program leadership.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required for games, events, and league programming.
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field is required. A master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Experience with club or league management platforms (e.g., Sprocket, TeamSnap, SportsEngine, PlayMetrics, or similar systems).
- Familiarity with performance analysis, sports science principles, or player monitoring tools is beneficial.
- Strong connections within the college recruitment landscape or women’s soccer network are desirable.
- A passion for football and the continued advancement of the girls’ game.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish a bonus but not essential).
