Job Title: Assistant Manager

Company Overview:
Sofive is a rapidly growing startup developing soccer centers—modern sports complexes featuring small-sided soccer fields. With 22 locations to date and more in the pipeline, we are revolutionizing soccer experiences across the U.S.
Position Overview:
The Assistant Manager works alongside the General Manager to oversee food and beverage sales, and handle daily operations. This role requires a flexible schedule and a hands-on approach to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory management: ensuring accurate and timely weekly inventory, review of Actual vs Theoretical reports, COGS and items availability
- Ordering: review pars, place orders weekly using software and receive orders as needed
- Customer service: Overseeing day-to-day tasks to ensure customer satisfaction and providing excellent customer service
- Scheduling: Ensure that the staff spending is within budget and review with GM to keep costs in line.
- Conflict resolution: Resolving conflicts early to prevent them from escalating and damaging teamwork.
- Maintaining safety standards: Regularly scanning the restaurant for hazards and fixing them to ensure the safety of staff and diners
- Ensuring compliance with regulations: Conducting regular health and safety inspections to ensure compliance with local and national standards.
- Assist in the hiring, training, and supervision of staff.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction: Training staff to provide friendly, attentive, and efficient service
- Support the General Manager in daily management and operational oversight of the center.
- Undertake additional tasks as needed, aligned with the role's responsibilities.
- Events: Work with General manager to source and organize new events.
- This position will require evening closing shifts on weekdays and weekends.
Qualifications:
- Food Manager certification (Chicago certification)
- Alcohol serving certification
- Strong knowledge of the local market
- Proven leadership, relationship management, and communication skills
- Spanish language skills are highly valued
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on customer service
