Assistant Manager: Job Description

Sofive Soccer Centers is a rapidly growing startup developing modern sport complexes with small-sided soccer fields. With 10 locations to date and many more in the pipeline, we are looking for passionate and driven individuals to join our team.

Overview

The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in sales and management of soccer programs (leagues, tournaments, rentals), day-to-day operations, and staff supervision. This position requires flexibility with shift patterns and a strong focus on customer experience and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales and Business Development:
    • Prospect new clients and achieve/exceed individual and center sales goals.
    • Implement sales strategies for leagues, tournaments, and rental re-bookings.
  • Customer Experience and Retention:
    • Build strong relationships with team captains and players.
    • Develop and execute retention strategies for current and past players.
  • Operational Management:
    • Plan, monitor, and schedule soccer programs to ensure smooth operations.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Assist in hiring, training, and conducting performance reviews.
    • Train and supervise staff while supporting the General Manager in delegated tasks.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Attend weekly management and staff meetings to ensure clear communication.
    • Handle additional duties as needed, aligned with the role’s nature and responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in soccer organizations with 3+ years in sales and management.
  • Passion and knowledge of the soccer industry and local soccer market.
  • Assertive, enthusiastic, and entrepreneurial with the drive to grow leagues, tournaments, and events.
  • Strong relationship management, work ethic, and dedication to customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication skills; Spanish proficiency highly valued.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and execute tasks to ensure the center’s success.
  • College degree strongly preferred.
