Assistant Manager: Job description


City-Sofive Goals is a rapidly growing startup that is developing soccer centers – modern sport complexes with small-sided soccer fields. We have 10 sites to date, with many more in the pipeline.

Overview

Description: assist the General Manager with sales and management of the soccer programs (leagues, tournaments, and rentals), day-to-day management of the entire center and supervision of all staff. The position entails working a flexible shift pattern.



Position description

  • Prospect new business and clients and achieve or exceed individual and centers’ sales goals
  • Sales strategy and execution: lead the process of implementing sales tactics for both leagues and tournaments, as well as rentals re-booking
  • Focus on customer experience and retention of current and past players: design and execute sales tactics, form personal relationships with team captains and players
  • Overview, plan, monitor and schedule all soccer programs, ensuring smooth and efficient operational procedures enabling City-Sofive center to provide the highest level of customer service
  • Participate in hiring, training, and performance reviews
  • Attend weekly management and staff meetings to ensure strong communication
  • Assist with the day-to-day management and supervision of all staff: train and supervise all club employees while helping the Center General Manager facilitate all delegated projects and responsibilities
  • Such other duties as may be necessary from time to time, compatible with the nature of the position. It should be noted that this list is not exhaustive and serves simply to give an overall view and key responsibilities of the position

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership ability in soccer organizations with 3 years + of sales and management experience
  • Be passionate and knowledgeable about the soccer industry/local soccer market
  • Assertive, enthusiastic, energetic, and punctual with an entrepreneurial drive to create, grow, operate, and manage soccer leagues, tournaments, and events
  • Portray strong relationship management skills, work ethic, and care for customers and products
  • Communications skills required: need to build a good rapport with customers
  • Spanish language skills highly valued
  • Ability to deliver a high level of customer service, to plan and organize the work necessary to run a successful center
  • College degree strongly preferred
