The Role
Spangle is hiring a VP of Sales (Player-Coach) to lead enterprise revenue growth at a critical inflection point. This is a hands-on, individual contributor-first role for a senior sales leader who thrives in complex, consultative enterprise sales environments and is comfortable closing deals personally.
In the near term, success in this role is defined by direct revenue ownership. As the company scales, the role will expand to include hiring and leading a small, high-performance sales team.
What you'll own:
- Own complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from initial engagement through close
- Lead customer evaluations, pilots, and proof-of-concept engagements through conversion to paid deployments
- Partner closely with the founders on strategic accounts, executive alignment, and late-stage deal execution
- Help shape ICP definition, enterprise messaging, pricing, and deal structure
- Build a repeatable, enterprise-grade sales motion grounded in measurable customer value
- Maintain strong pipeline hygiene, forecasting discipline, and deal visibility
- Hire and develop additional Account Executives as revenue milestones are achieved
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of B2B sales experience, including senior leadership roles in enterprise or upper mid-market environments
- Proven track record of closing complex, high-value enterprise deals
- Experience selling to large organizations with multiple decision-makers and extended buying processes
- Familiarity with selling into commerce, retail, consumer brands, or adjacent enterprise verticals
- Demonstrated ability to engage credibly with executive, technical, and commercial stakeholders
- Strong understanding of consultative, value-based selling methodologies
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, early-scale environments with high ownership
- Highly accountable, structured, and outcomes-driven
