Species360 is a unique blend of a software company, a non-profit organization, and a global wildlife and plant care and conservation leader. We are the predominant non-profit organization serving zoos, aquariums, and botanical gardens with animal and plant management needs through our Zoological Information Management System (ZIMS) and Hortis software.
Our members include diverse institutions worldwide that use our software to record data on wildlife and plants. This critical data enables them to provide world-class care for their animals and enables Species360 to develop software and scientific research that supports global conservation.
This role requires a genuine passion for species conservation, animal care, and the health of the natural world. The ideal candidate will channel their enthusiasm for these critical issues into developing products that align with the Species360 mission and inspire engagement across the global conservation community.

OUR OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual experienced in veterinary medicine and electronic medical records to serve in the role of part-time Product Analyst working 20 hours per week. You’ll partner with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and the broader ZIMS community to shape the future of our Zoological Information Management System (ZIMS) products. Your work will turn user feedback and data insights into actionable direction for software development — ensuring ZIMS continues to meet the evolving needs of our members worldwide
Reporting to the Sr. Product Owner, the successful candidate will support the full product lifecycle: from conducting user interviews and gathering feedback, to writing clear user stories, documenting decisions, and testing for usability and quality. You’ll analyze workflows, data, and market trends to uncover opportunities for improvement and help guide product priorities.
In this role, you’ll act as a key bridge between users, product, and engineering — representing the zoological and medical community’s needs while keeping internal teams (Member Communication, Support, and Training) informed about new features and enhancements. Your insights will help ensure every product decision delivers measurable value for our members and supports better outcomes in animal care and conservation.
