About the role:
This role will own the end-to-end Accounts Payable function, partnering closely with the Controller and collaborating with internal stakeholders as well as external accounting and tax BPO partners. You’ll play a key role in bringing structure, rigor, and visibility to daily AP operations—helping reduce operational risk while strengthening audit readiness, funding processes, and preparation for future ERP implementation.
This is a foundational role within Terradot’s Finance organization and a unique opportunity to help build reliable, scalable finance operations at a fast-growing, cross-border company—where your work will have clear ownership, impact, and room to grow.
What you'll do:
- Accounts Payable and Cash Operations. Own and operate the full Accounts Payable cycle, including invoice intake, validation, approvals, payment execution, and payment-to-invoice matching. Ensure all vendor payments are accurate, timely, and properly documented, with clear audit trails. Perform daily bank and payment reconciliations and support the Controller with reliable daily cash flow visibility.
- BPO and Cross-Functional Coordination. Support the Controller in the day-to-day interaction with accounting and tax BPO partners, ensuring timely, complete, and accurate Accounts Payable information to support reconciliations and monthly close. Work closely with internal teams across Finance, Procurement, and Operations to ensure invoices, approvals, and supporting documentation are collected and validated on time.
- Controls, Audit Readiness, and Compliance. Ensure payments are executed in line with approval limits and authorization policies, escalating exceptions when required. Maintain organized AP documentation and schedules to support monthly close, audits, and due diligence processes.
- Processes and Systems. Identify process gaps and lead continuous improvements to reduce manual work and increase control and visibility, using spreadsheets and simple workflow tools. Contribute to ERP selection and implementation from an Accounts Payable perspective, helping define requirements, map processes, and ensure data quality during system transitions.
You will stand out if you:
- 5+ years of experience in Finance Operations or Accounts Payable, with hands-on ownership of AP processes in growing or unstructured environments.
- Solid understanding of AP-related accounting basics, including cut-off, accruals, and documentation requirements.
- Comfortable working without a fully implemented ERP, using spreadsheets and lightweight tools to structure processes.
- Experience supporting ERP implementation as an AP key user, with external accounting or tax BPO providers, supporting day-to-day AP operations.
- Experience supporting process improvements or system transitions in scaling companies.
