About the role

Risk Advisory’s Business Intelligence & Investigations unit is looking to hire two Junior Research Analysts for its London team. This is a paid, temporary, and part time position. The ideal candidate will: be currently pursuing a bachelors or masters degree with a focus on analytical research; have recently obtained a university degree and be looking for an opportunity to gain job experience in our industry; or have at least six months of work experience, either in investigations or a related sector such as journalism, political risk, or academia. The position requires working from our offices and hours can be flexible to support your studies. 


We conduct investigative work around the world, so in addition to near native-level spoken and written English, we are looking for candidates who can offer fluency in one or more other languages. Arabic, Russian, French, German, and Mandarin Chinese are all of particular interest. 


An entry level position, the key focus for a Junior Research Analyst is to learn to conduct thorough, high quality research in appropriate languages and to be able to convey the findings of that investigative effort verbally and in writing to colleagues Junior Research Analysts are expected to demonstrate a strong interest and commitment to expanding their knowledge of the Business Intelligence field, the various types of projects conducted in the Business Intelligence and Investigations team, investigations and investigative methodologies, and the the UK Bribery Act and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. The Junior Research Analyst will work closely with a mentor who will accompany them to ensure that targets of the internship are reached.


The successful candidate will be curious in their outlook, tenacious in their approach, and able to multitask effectively, managing multiple projects, often within tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills and a strong desire to learn about our industry are both requirements.
