About the role

The Australian Conveyancer Production Editor plays a crucial role in the publishing process, overseeing the creation and assembly of content for all its platforms. The Production Editor is a guardian of the publication’s style, quality and consistency, playing a hand in all parts of the production process.


What you'll be doing

  • Editorial & content management:
    • Maintain and enforce editorial style and brand consistency
    • Oversee content creation across print, digital and audio platforms
    • Manage content calendars, workflows and deadlines
  • Story & talent coordination:
    • Monitor industry news and social media for story leads
    • Coordinate interviews, podcasts and freelancer assignments
    • Manage briefs, invoices and production schedules
  • Writing & editing:
    • Edit and upload stories across channels
    • Write short articles, explainers and social posts where required
    • Create short-form versions of longer features
  • Production & publishing:
    • Liaise with outsource production team to meet deadlines
    • Support magazine layout and digital flipbook delivery
    • Maintain organised archives of all editorial content


What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in publishing, journalism, or media (editorial or production roles).
  • Strong editing and writing skills, with attention to accuracy and style.
  • Ability to manage content calendars, workflows, and multiple deadlines.
  • Experience working with freelancers and contributors.
  • Familiarity with CMS, digital publishing, and social media platforms.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Desirable: experience in podcasts/events, or knowledge of B2B/legal industries.
