Housekeeping Supervisor


We are a growing hospitality development and management company. Our 81 room Comfort Inn & Suites property located in North Las Vegas is looking to have an energetic and motivated individual join our team as the Housekeeping Supervisor. Under the direction of the Hotel Assistant General Manager and Corporate management, the Housekeeping supervisor will support the Housekeeping and Maintenance team.

The Housekeeping Supervisor is a coach, trainer, and leader who ensures that all company best practices and policies and procedures are followed in order to uphold our brand standards and guest satisfaction.

SKILLS, EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience as an Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager on Duty is highly preferred.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in the hospitality industry is required.
  • Prior housekeeping supervisor experience is highly preferred
  • Prior experience using Windows-based software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook highly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Good decision maker.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • May be required to travel.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Management/Supervisory

  • Act as the primary supervisor overseeing the maintenance and housekeeping staff.
  • Directly supervises the hotel staff. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, directing work, and appraising performance of employees.
  • Oversees the activities of all staff members in order to ensure adherence to hotel policies and procedures. Reviews all departmental schedules for accuracy and staffing demands.
  • Act as the manager on duty and assist the breakfast, front desk, or housekeeping staff as needed to ensure operational excellence and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and assist front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, porter, and security to ensure they perform their daily checklist tasks

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Responsible for completing daily and weekly recap reports for the Hotel Assistant General Manager and Corporate management.
  • Maintains accurate records of hotel guest folios, reservation information, front desk checklists, housekeeping checklists including deep cleaning schedules, inventory management, etc.
  • Responsible for ensuring all hotel teams are performing their jobs efficiently and collaboratively. Monitor excessive overtime and weekly payroll.

Guest Service

  • Offer guests assistance whenever possible.
  • Responsible for resolving escalated customer relations issues.
  • Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services.
  • Must appropriately address guest requests to ensure customers are satisfied with the hotel’s services and accommodations.
  • Responsible for positively representing and promoting the property.
  • Ensures systems and procedures are in place and followed for guest safety and security.

Other Duties as Assigned

  • Fills in for vacant shifts as needed.
  • Assists with sales and marketing efforts as directed by Sales and/or the AGM/Corporate management
