About the Role:

 

As an Associate Software Developer at Phaedon you’ll play a role in driving innovation and using technology to drive connections through a multi-channel experience. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform coding activities under the direction of senior staff
  • Use analytical thinking to make decisions based on facts and metrics whenever possible
  • Work harmoniously with all Technology team members, Product Owners, and Delivery Managers
  • Follow established coding standards
  • Use professional communications skills both written and verbal
  • Demonstrate a desire to learn and accept new challenges within and outside of your core skills

This role is based out of our office in the Designer’s Guild building in the heart of Minneapolis' North Loop neighborhood.  We embrace a hybrid model with three in-office days per week to ensure a mix of collaboration and flexibility to support our employees' success.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree or certificate in either computer science, application development, management information systems, programming boot camp, or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency with Java Enterprise development
  • Problem solving and debugging skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with messaging systems (Kafka preferred)
  • Knowledge of Spring Framework ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Batch)
  • Understanding of object-relational mapping (Hibernate)
  • Agile methodologies – SAFe, Scrum/Kanban
  • Experience with relational databases (Microsoft SQL preferred)
  • Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery Patterns
  • Front End: CSS3, X/HTML5, Core Javascript, Node JS, Lit
  • Cloud platform familiarity (AWS preferred)
  • Development tools: IntelliJ IDEA, Git version control

Pay Range:

 

The pay range for this position is estimated to be $65,000 - $90,000 per year.

There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
