Summary:

Due to the continued growth of WHG, and the successful granting of over 20 operational licences and over 150 personal licences globally, a new operational opportunity for a Licensing Officer is available within our Legal, Compliance and Regulatory department’s Licensing team.


This role is fully remote, and you will be reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, and the focus will be to support and assist them and the team on all licensing and related matters.


Your day to day:

  • Provide ongoing assistance to the Senior Legal Counsel and wider Licensing team on a variety of projects, including but not limited to licence applications, licence renewals and related matters.
  • Respond to inbound due diligence requests (internal and external), as well as outbound (where required).
  • Assist in the collation of monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory reports that are submitted to regulators.
  • Keep up-to-date records of all licence applications and existing licences, including keeping central spreadsheets and licence registers.
  • Responsible for reviewing the WHG licensing mailbox daily to ensure that all tasks are noted and dealt with appropriately and quickly.
  • Responsible for chasing responses to emails to ensure that tasks are completed as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • Regularly review relevant regulations to ensure that regulatory requirements are met in all relevant jurisdictions and keep track of upcoming market launches.
  • Liaise with internal personal licence applicants (including senior management and others) and external lawyers to meet all relevant licensing requirements.
  • Submit regulatory notifications and maintain records of notifiable events.
  • Access application portals to support licence applications and renewals. 
  • Contribute to team to-do lists, meeting agendas, and minutes, where required. 
  • Update guidance documents, maintain processes, and other actions where required.


 What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience working within a licensing function or supporting licence applications in the iGaming industry.
  • A good understanding of corporate due diligence requirements and processes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to manage a busy workload, prioritise effectively and meet competing deadlines.
  • Comfortable working independently with limited supervision.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a proactive and positive approach.
  • Solutions-focused, adaptable and eager to learn.
  • A collaborative team player who is willing to contribute across multiple workstreams.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using Jira and AI tools is desirable.
  • Flexible and willing to support the wider Licensing team as business needs evolve.
