IT Support Specialist - Oakville | Ottawa

Full-Time | Global Engineering Environment | Career Opportunity


We have an opportunity for an experienced IT Support Specialist to ensure the stability and efficiency of our global technology infrastructure. As the ideal candidate, you will be responsible for maintaining seamless operations across all worldwide locations by resolving user technical issues, driving system processes, and contributing to the continuous modernization of our IT environment.

What You Will Do

  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Tackle a variety of technical problems, from simple user issues like VPN and MFA configurations to more complex scenarios involving application deployments.
  • Drive System Processes: Ensure smooth operations by resolving security alerts, performing system updates, and configuring network equipment.
  • Modernize IT Infrastructure: Stay ahead of the curve by researching, testing, and deploying cutting-edge technology solutions that enhance our IT environment.

What You Will Bring

  • Hands-On Experience: At least 5 years of practical IT support experience in an enterprise setting.
  • Technical Expertise: A deep understanding of Active Directory and NTFS permissions, proficiency in the Office 365 ecosystem (including Entra, Exchange, and Teams), and strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Networking Skills: Knowledge of routing, protocols, and network equipment configuration.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues.
  • Security Frameworks: Preferred experience with industry-standard security frameworks such as NIST 800-171, CMMC, or ISO 27001.
  • Additional Skills: Familiarity with SharePoint administration or Linux environments is a plus.
