About the role
This position is for a DevSecOps Engineer in Boulder, CO. You will be working closely with a team of talented engineers to manage integration, security scanning, and deployment of multiple applications into orchestrated frameworks. You will also have the opportunity to grow and sharpen your skills with other talented members of Centil. The candidate who will be successful in this role should have a strong experience designing and developing application container deployment solutions using Docker, docker-compose, and Kubernetes.
This position is expected to be fully onsite at a work location in Boulder.
What you'll do
- Manage integration, security scanning, and deployment of multiple applications into orchestrated frameworks
- Work with deployment teams to orchestrate deployments to development, test, and operational environments
- Create and maintain Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines in gitlab-ci
- Monitor CI pipelines for performance and resolve observed or reported issues
- Integrate CI pipelines with development tools for artifact management, software test and software quality assessment
- Implement Continuous Delivery and execute automated or manual deployments of applications into orchestrated k8s environments
- Provide troubleshooting for deployed applications within development and production environments
- Execute software release processes including release branch creation, integration, checkout and test
- Implement and maintain Helm charts
- Ensure cybersecurity protocols are adhered to
Required Qualifications
- Current Secret security clearance or higher
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience building and supporting DevOps or DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines
- Strong experience with containerized deployments using Docker, docker compose, and Kubernetes
- Experience with Amazon EKS and service mesh and monitoring tools including Istio, Prometheus, and Grafana
- Proven ability to manage development, test, and production environments
- Experience with authentication platforms such as Keycloak
- 1+ year of experience with Python and Linux systems
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Boulder
Preferred/Bonus Qualifications
- Experience in software vulnerability scanning, assessment, and remediation using SAST and DAST tools such as SonarQube
- Proficient in artifact management with JFrog Artifactory, Nexus, or similar tools
- Development experience in Python and C++
- Experience with container security tools including Grype and Syft
- Skilled in Git version control and Linux system administration, including support of CI/CD tools such as GitLab

Expected Salary Range
Depending on experience and skillset, most candidates will earn between $100,000 and $135,000 per year.
