This office plays a critical role in the company’s global success, leading U.S.-focused R&D, sales, and customer support, and working closely with American defense and security stakeholders to deliver mission-critical counter drone solutions tailored to local operational needs.

About the role

The company is seeking a Solutions Engineer with relevant experience to join the U.S. tech team. The position will report to the Director of Engineering. It represents an exceptional opportunity for a results-driven individual in a new niche but exploding market.  This role is primarily focused on engaging with customers and partners, presenting technical information, and developing solutions tailored to customer needs

Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations 

  • Assist in the pre-sales process by providing succinct technical information to customers and internal team members
  • Generate and provide technical presentations and proposals throughout the sales process
  • Demonstrate and utilize a deep understanding of DroneShield’s product offering, solutions, technology, and roadmap
  • Answer customer Requests for Information and Requests for Proposals
  • Prepare and lead technical product demonstrations for customers
  • Assist partner integration and collaboration efforts
  • This role requires up to 50% travel, 25% is typical
  • This role is required in-office at DroneShield’s Warrenton, VA office


Qualifications, Experience and Skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities including customer facing, in person, technical presentation experience
  • Comfortable operating in a Linux environment with solid fundamental understanding of networking, systems, and software
  • Technical expertise with networked devices, telecommunications, radio frequency, electronic warfare or machine learning/ artificial intelligence systems is highly favorable
  • Previous experience working in the Defense, Aerospace, or Public Safety industries is highly regarded
