Our platform helps artists create high-quality assets more efficiently and flexibly, redefining the creative process in the gaming industry. As a rapidly growing startup, we’re looking for passionate engineers who thrive in fast-paced environments and want to build products with real impact.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Fractional Growth Operator (SEO / GEO-first) to unlock organic demand and improve inbound signal quality for Layer. This role is focused on hands-on execution, not people management or budget ownership. The Growth Operator will fix SEO/GEO foundations, unify attribution, and build repeatable organic growth systems that feed clean, qualified demand into our RevOps / GTM engine. This is a contract role designed to create leverage before scaling spend or headcount. It's fully remote you can be anywhere around the world ideally EU or Americas (East Coast) where most of our team is based.

Why This Role Exists

Layer has strong product-market fit signals and high-quality content, but we are under-capturing demand due to:

  • Incomplete SEO/GEO foundations
  • Fragmented analytics and attribution
  • Founder-driven, non-systematic growth execution

This role exists to fix the foundations first, so future growth (organic, outbound, or paid) scales on clean signal and real data.

Key Responsibilities

SEO / GEO Foundations
  • Identify and fix technical SEO/GEO issues (canonicals, schema, redirects, crawl structure)
  • Improve on-page SEO (page titles, heading hierarchy, internal linking)
  • Strengthen content discoverability across product, blog, and feature pages
  • Partner with Product/Engineering when fixes require support
Analytics & Attribution
  • Audit and clean GA4 and Google Tag Manager setup
  • Define and enforce UTM conventions across channels
  • Ensure inbound attribution is clean and decision-ready
  • Surface clear channel-level performance insights
Organic Growth & Distribution
  • Build an SEO/GEO-driven content roadmap (beyond product-led posts)
  • Diversify blog and content strategy to capture broader demand
  • Create repeatable content → distribution workflows
  • Support lightweight video embedding and distribution
Growth Experiments (Optional)
  • Test low-cost, leverage-driven growth ideas (templates, workflows, viral loops)
  • Outsource writers or creatives efficiently when useful
  • Support small experiments only once foundations are solid

Ownership & Boundaries

This Role Owns

This role improves the input signal to those systems.

This role is successful if:

  • SEO/GEO health issues are resolved
