About the role
We are looking for a Senior Agentic AI Engineer to join our team. You will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and deploying agentic LLM workflows that leverage cutting-edge AI techniques to streamline contract workflows, with a strong focus on the legal domain. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in AI and software engineering to solve complex, real-world challenges in a high-impact setting.
What you'll do
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust agentic LLM workflows for production.
- Integrate AI solutions with existing SaaS platforms, internal APIs, and legal workflow systems.
- Evaluate third-party models, frameworks, and services to determine their suitability and integration potential.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand user needs, and deliver high-impact agent solutions.
- Build tooling and observability to monitor, test, and evaluate AI agent performance.
- Conduct code reviews and maintain best practices in documentation and version control.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in AI systems to ensure accuracy, reliability, performance, and scalability.
Qualifications
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in developing agent products or similar AI applications.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Strong understanding of LLMs, retrieval (RAG), and agent orchestration.
- Experience with AI frameworks and agent development tools (e.g., LangGraph, CrewAI, MCP).
Important Soft Skills:
- Solid problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills in a global environment.
- Flexibility of collaborating with engineers in Tokyo time zone
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD. in a relevant technical field.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Knowledge of NLP techniques, RAG systems, and prompt engineering.
- Contributions to open-source projects or publications in AI research.
- Experience deploying and maintaining AI models in production environments.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse cultures in both English and Japanese.

The pay range for this role is:
180,000 - 240,000 USD per year (San Francisco, CA)
