As a Commercial Operations Specialist, you will lead complex order fulfilment, inventory optimisation, and process‑improvement initiatives while serving as a senior subject‑matter expert. You’ll drive data‑backed strategies that enhance operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and alignment between Sales and Headquarters.

In partnership with leadership, you’ll help shape policies, mentor peers, and implement best practices that elevate customer excellence and overall organisational performance.


The ideal candidate brings strategic expertise in medical device inventory management and commercial operations.


What You’ll Do:

General / Order Management

  • Lead complex order‑management and request‑evaluation processes, acting as a senior subject‑matter expert and driving cross‑functional improvements.
  • Review of complex or high-impact requests via CRM, email, and phone
  • Serve as the primary strategic liaison between national sales and global teams, shaping communication standards and guiding high‑impact decisions.
  • Mentor team members, support policy development, and contribute to ad‑hoc projects that strengthen operational and customer excellence.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and requests as needed.

Inventory Management

  • Own end‑to‑end inventory movement and data accuracy across CRM/ERP systems, analysing trends and recommending improvements to optimize product flow and reduce costs.
  • Lead cross‑functional workflow mapping and continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and elevate commercial operations performance.

Metrics

  • Lead advanced performance, demand, and inventory analytics to shape KPI frameworks, optimize asset utilization, and guide long‑term allocation and growth strategies.
  • Oversee field, hospital, and Sales Agent inventory productivity, setting territory‑level inventory thresholds, forecasting needs, and driving realignment plans to maximize stock efficiency.


What You Bring:

  • University degree (Bachelor or Master)
  • 4 years of relevant experience in the customer service area (from operational functions like order management or set sourcing)
  • Fluency in English and German (Swedish, Danish & Norwegian are nice to have)
  • Experience working within the medtech and pharmaceutical sectors, including familiarity with industry regulations and inventory policies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Applications, ERP System, CRM Software, Advanced Excel Skills, and Power BI Experience
  • Strong communication and multi-tasking skills, as you need to be able to interact with different levels of stakeholders and build effective relationships through teamwork
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to define and structure problems to be solved and to communicate complex business analysis and issues in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment, handle multiple priorities, and communicate complex issues clearly
  • The employee is frequently required to lift no more than ten pounds and occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds

Compensation:  

Pay for this role is competitive and based on experience, with qualifications and performance considered.

This role is with a hybrid/ remote work model. While non-local candidates may apply, relocation and housing assistance are not provided, and candidates are responsible for all related expenses.

VB Spine reserves the right to offer compensation outside of this listed range. Final compensation is determined on a case-by-case basis and considers factors such as experience level, skill set, and market conditions.
