Who we're looking for...

• You’ll be comfortable being the first pure design hire and voice of user experience in a small, nimble, and high performing team - this is a startup!

• You’ll be an expert using Figma and familiar with using an existing design system - we use Material UI

• You’ll understand the tradeoffs between custom design elements and those available out of the box in a system like Material

• You'll ask for help, show vulnerability and empathy in product conversations

• You'll communicate often in the open - our team norms include Looms, public Slack discussions and huddles, guided walkthroughs and demos

• You'll be comfortable crossing into and learning about thorny environmental data issues that are not your specialty

• You use first principles-based thinking to create pragmatic solutions to complicated problems in a data-heavy industry

In the interest of full transparency, the salary for this role will be $120k - $150k.
