As a Product Specialist, you will be an important part of a committed team working diligently to add items to our weekly auction. By organizing, cataloging and completing Condition Reports, you will ensure accuracy and timely uploading from everything from ear buds to bureaus. They ensure we have a diverse variety of pieces to select from every week so that customers engage in active bidding and are confident knowing they are getting what they won.

What is a Product Specialist?
 

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOMPLISHING IN THE ROLE:

  • Timely posting of auction pieces to weekly auction event
  • Decide on a balanced representation of list items; we appeal to a diverse group of customers- from die-hard bidders to those new to the site so items need to appeal to everyone and at every price point
  • Ensure a strong presentation of items by supporting each listing with pictures that display the item as best as possible
  • Testing items before upload, ensuring each Condition Report accurately depicts any item issues; i.e. missing pieces, no power, brand new, slight evidence of usage, etc.
  • Working with little supervision, self-discipline is paramount

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Consistent attendance, reliability, and level of maturity that will commit to their role
  • Ability to meet daily targets- you make your daily monthly targets there is bonus available
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to read and speak English well
  • Great organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability 8:30 am to 5:45 pm Monday to Friday on a permanent full-time basis
  • Ability to work Saturdays and over-time as needed


This role starts at $17.55 per hour. After three months of continuous employment, your hourly rate will increase to $19.00 per hour and you will be eligible to enrol with our Group Benefit plan- we offer Single of Family coverage with Dental and Vision care included. We also offer enrolment with our GRSP (Group Retirement Savings Plan) for those who are interested.
