Position Overview:
The Associate Director, Production is responsible for the overall production and execution of Endpoints’ virtual, hybrid, and live events in collaboration with our editorial teams and clients. This leadership role requires a well-rounded production leader who can stay on top of production trends, lead a small team, and execute the work. This person leads all aspects of production for virtual, hybrid, and live events and plays a critical role in client communications. The Associate Director oversees the production lifecycle of hybrid, live, and virtual events, both client-sponsored and editorial, from initial concept through to final execution.


Current Portfolio of Events: 4 hybrid events (½ day to 2-day), 4-6 Endpoints Days virtual events, and 4-5 editorial coverage virtual events, and several sponsored webinars weekly. This may change in any given year. 


Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:

In this leadership role, you will collaborate with the Director, Webinars and Events to produce virtual and hybrid programming. As the lead production expert for hybrid events and virtual client webinars, you will manage direct reports and external contractors. Additionally, you will partner with senior leadership and Editorial to implement the company's vision and enhance the user experience for Endpoints' audience.


Production and Technical Execution: 

You will manage the planning and execution of multiple webinars and events simultaneously. This includes requesting and organizing digital assets for both virtual and live events, supervising technical rehearsals, and managing the archival process for video files, photos, and other relevant data. You will also provide video editing support for pre-recorded events and webinars and ensure compliance with production-related contractual obligations. Your expertise in video and how to best leverage video assets will be critical as we continue to grow our video strategy onsite and on social channels


Production Strategy:

You will create, implement, and refine production protocols, processes, and guidelines to ensure consistent, high-quality standards for the department. You'll leverage relevant production and performance metrics to enhance both internal operations and the external experience. You will determine freelancer needs within budget constraints. You will be our internal expert on production which includes staying informed on emerging technologies that may be relevant to the growth and development of the department.


Communication: 

You will serve as the primary point of contact for the production department, both internally and externally. You'll manage escalated production issues involving sponsors, audience members, and panelists while effectively delegating tasks within the team. Organizing and leading necessary production meetings and maintaining clear internal communications will be crucial to your role.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in audio-visual and/or streaming production, particularly related to live and hybrid events. Experience with all 3 event types is required: live, virtual, and hybrid. Experience in media, biopharma, or health tech industries is a plus.

  • Experience working with fully remote teams is strongly preferred. 

  • Deep knowledge and technical expertise in A/V and production for live, virtual, and hybrid events. Strong understanding of conference and event management processes, with required expertise in Zoom.

  • Strong project management, organizational, and operational skills. Working knowledge of various project management tools (eg. Basecamp, Monday.com, Notion). 

  • A professional, polished and prompt communicator dedicated to top-tier client service, Exceptional communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Highly skilled in video editing practices. Proficient with best practices in archiving video files and reports, Strong attention to detail and eye for visual/video quality

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and pivot quickly when needed.

  • Comfortable with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar programs

  • Fluent with Google Suite or Microsoft Office. High degree of comfort with Slack as a primary communication tool.

  • Comfort and success managing a high volume of daily communication across Slack and email. 

  • Travel 3-6x a year for US-based events may be required.
