About the Role:

Join our Technology Enablement Team, the “SWAT” team of EnergyCAP’s Technology Division, where talented engineers tackle many mission-critical challenges across our internal and external SaaS systems. Operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, we deliver innovative solutions for complex problems, often shifting priorities to meet the needs of our rapidly evolving landscape.

 

As a member of our Technology Enablement Team, you'll build ETL systems, APIs, and advanced process automation to streamline workflows, integrate platforms, and elevate user experiences. Partnering regularly with our Project Management Office and mission critical revenue teams your work will touch the most important aspects of our business.

Here’s what you’ll dive into during your first 12 months:

  • Enhancements to our bill image ETL pipeline through conventional, OCR and AI-driven analysis to bring utility data value back to our customers faster.
  • Connections with several internal teams to enhance their processes and use technology to streamline their day-to-day work.
  • Production deployments of software and database changes across a wide variety of mission critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Build, improve, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot production applications that support the most critical aspects of our business.
  • Actively participate as a member of an Agile-based team which includes daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos, etc.
  • Meet critical software release deadlines while not sacrificing the quality of the product.
  • Conduct code reviews for other team members and incorporate review feedback. from those team members.
  • Share ideas on the best approaches to problems and derive insights from existing solutions.
  • Deliver software that satisfies documented business requirements and expected user experience.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Develop automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
  • Learn the business and technical concepts that drive company success.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in production-level, web application development.
  • The ability to wear many hats, learn quickly, and change direction when needed.
  • Communicate and collaborate with a team that is geographically distributed.
  • C# and scripting languages such as Windows PowerShell.
  • API-based software development and RESTful application services.
  • Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and automated testing.
  • Distributed web application development including containers, Docker, and Kubernetes with experience monitoring, operating, and troubleshooting production environments.
  • Familiar with working in cloud-based hosting environments, especially Microsoft Azure.
  • Associate or bachelor degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or another technology-related field.


Pay Rangebase pay $85,000 – $105,000 + bonus. Pay is commensurate on a variety of factors, including experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
