About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Associate Product Manager to support the growth of EnergyCAP. This role is ideal for someone passionate about SaaS products and sustainability, who’s eager to learn and grow in a dynamic software development environment. 


As an Associate Product Manager, you’ll work closely with senior product leaders, engineers, designers, and customer-facing teams to help turn customer insights into user-centered features. You'll be deeply involved in the daily rhythm of our flagship product - writing detailed user stories, participating in scrum ceremonies, and ensuring seamless communication across teams. Your work will help ensure the delivery of high-quality product releases that support our clients' sustainability initiatives. 


You’ll serve as the connective tissue between stakeholders, engineering, and design—making sure all t’s are crossed and i’s are dotted. You’ll thrive in an agile environment, facilitating clarity and alignment across functions. This is a hands-on, back-of-the-house product role where your organizational skills and ability to drive execution will directly contribute to EnergyCAP’s mission and impact. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and marketing teams throughout the product development lifecycle. 
  • Write user stories and acceptance criteria and contribute to sprint planning and backlog grooming. 
  • Assist with market research and customer interviews to understand pain points and identify opportunities. 
  • Assist in maintaining product roadmaps, prioritize features, and track progress on key initiatives. 
  • Contribute to feature planning and backlog refinement using Agile processes. 
  • Monitor product usage data and customer feedback to support continuous improvement. 
  • Prepare internal documentation, reports, and stakeholder updates. 
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies including stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. 

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • 1–2 years of experience in a product-related role. 
  • Familiarity with Agile principles, user stories, and product development processes. 
  • Effective communication, organization, and time management skills. 
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to engage with engineering teams on hardware and software requirements. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred. 

Pay Range$75,000 -$95,000 with 3% annual bonus

Pay is commensurate on a variety of factors, including experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
