About the role
The Placement Specialist is responsible for implementing all aspects of Individual Program Plans (IPP), including intake, job training, placement, coaching, and ongoing support. The role involves developing relationships with local employers, creating employment opportunities for program participants, and ensuring compliance with agency standards and applicable laws.
What you'll do
Service Delivery:
- Conduct participant intakes, assessments, and work evaluations.
- Develop and maintain Individual Program Plans (IPPs) with measurable goals.
- Monitor participant progress through regular documentation and communication.
Job Training and Placement:
- Implement training plans tailored to individual needs.
- Provide advocacy and support to participants, including coaching on job sites.
- Work with employers to modify job descriptions or environments as needed.
Sales and Business Development:
- Cultivate relationships with employers to create job opportunities for participants.
- Develop and follow up on employment leads in the community.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on Entrust services to potential employers.
General Duties:
- Maintain accurate participant records using Setworks.
- Act as an advocate for participants, ensuring their rights and needs are respected.
- Collaborate with internal staff, families, and external agencies to support participant success.
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required; a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
- 1–3 years of sales or marketing experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in human services or a related field is a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database systems (e.g., Setworks).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Problem-solving and organizational abilities.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid Washington State Driver's License and proof of insurance.
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Office-based with occasional travel to job sites and community locations.
- Physical requirements include occasional lifting (up to 10 lbs.), standing, sitting, and walking.
