Are you an experienced content writer who’s passionate about gardening? Do you have a background in plant biology, horticulture, agriculture, organic gardening, or hobby gardening? If so, help us teach the world to grow!
Our site educates our audience about all things gardening. This includes different types of plant species, plant comparisons, gardening guides, and gardening product reviews.
We need EXPERIENCED gardeners, preferably those with a background in plant biology or horticulture, but also in hobby farming/gardening.
When writing for our site, you'll get your own author bio with picture and links to your social sites or website.

About the role:
- This is a contract position (1099/remote only). However, we are looking for content writers open to transitioning into a full-time role after a part-time trial period.
- Up to 20 hours a week to start.
- Hourly rate: $20-$25 an hour based on experience.
Job Description:
- Research using verified sources
- Writing blog posts
- Content ideation
- Possible copywriting for other departments as needed
Seeking Applicants With:
- Prior content writing experience (please link writing sample in application)
- Horticulture, Botany, or Agriculture degrees
- 5+ years of gardening experience (passionate and experienced hobby gardeners are welcome- tell us what you’re into!)
- Basic editing skills
- WordPress experience
Our interview process for this role should take no more than 1.5 hours of your time in total. Normally, the process will look something like this:
A 20-25 min introductory chat with People & Culture to see if we think we’re a mutual fit
A 30-60 min chat with the hiring manager to understand your skills & background as well as understand our current landscape
This is a 1099 Contractor role. This role is not eligible for benefits.
