ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented People Operations Coordinator to join our People team in Broomfield, Colorado. This individual will contribute to the overall success of our people operations supporting areas such as: recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits, employee relations, and more. 


WORKING HOURS & LOCATION

This is a hybrid role requiring you to be onsite in our Broomfield HQ and Warehouse for 3 to 4 days a week with opportunity for 1 to 2 work from home days per week after initial onboarding. For salaried and hourly office employees at Epic Gardening, we reserve core working hours from 8 AM to 2 PM MST to ensure time for cross functional collaboration. Our warehouse employees can expect regular hours in alignment with our shift schedules.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & IMPACT

  • Serves as a first point of contact for Broomfield, CO warehouse employees for day-to-day support
  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
  • Complete employment verifications and home loan verifications.
  • Manage all recruitment scheduling for all roles across the company
  • Onboards and processes new hire paperwork and terminations within the HRIS (Rippling)
  • Leads onboarding process for new warehouse hires joining the company
  • Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
  • Collaborate with benefits providers to resolve issues and communicate updates to employees
  • Assist with time keeping and time off functions in conjunction with hourly people managers
  • Assists with hiring process by creating job descriptions, sourcing, updating the ATS, scheduling calls, in person interviews, and creating offer letters
  • Support in-office culture through mail distribution & event planning
  • Administrative ad-hoc support for finance and legal teams


ABOUT YOU

This is a great fit if you…

  • Bring 1–2 years of proven HR experience in a warehouse or fulfillment center environment.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Enjoy planning and have a keen eye for detail.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Take a people-first approach in everything you do.
  • Are genuinely excited by onboarding, training, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Are fluent in both English and Spanish.


This won’t be the right role if you…

  • Prefer a fully remote role or are unwilling to be in the office three to four days per week.
  • Are not energized by continually building, refining, and evolving people processes as the organization grows.
  • Thrive best in slower-moving, highly structured environments and are uncomfortable with the pace and ambiguity of a startup where hands-on problem-solving is often required.

OUR INTERVIEW PROCESS

Our interview process for this role should take ~1 hour of your time in total. Normally, the process will look something like this:

  • A 30 minute phone call with Senior Director of Finance to see if we think we’re a mutual fit
  • A 30 minute face-to-face interview with the VP of Operations
  • Reference check


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS & PERKS

  • Base Compensation: This role is an internal level of associate with base compensation starting at $65,000 depending on location, experience, and industry demands.
  • This role is eligible for an annual discretionary team performance bonus at 5%.
