About the role
Epiphany School seeks a part-time Health & Fitness specialist teacher to join the health and fitness team and collaborate with teacher teams to plan and implement the curriculum. In addition to teaching, this person will communicate proactively with students, their families, and colleagues, contribute positively to the overall school culture while fulfilling duties as assigned (recess and lunch supervision, field trips, etc.), and participate in professional learning opportunities at Epiphany School and in the greater education community.
An ideal candidate for this role brings physical education, kinesiology, health and fitness, and/or related expertise, has an ability to clearly explain exercises, techniques, and health concepts with the ability to adapt to the needs of different students, can inspire and motivate elementary aged students to engage in their fitness journey, is knowledgeable about curriculum and program design and child development, brings strong collaboration skills, growth mindset, strong materials and classroom management skills, and a commitment to fostering a love of health and fitness.
This is a part-time, exempt, academic year, faculty position reporting to the Lower Elementary Division Head.
Location
The person in this role must work in-person on the school campus in the Madrona neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. Epiphany School does not cover or reimburse relocation costs and/or expenses.
Standard school operating hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 – 4:00pm. Part-time schedule to be determined.

The starting salary range for a full-time faculty role is between $66,222 and $129,395 based on years of experience, education, and professional development hours. The full-time salary will be pro-rated based on the 0.5 full-time equivalency (FTE).
