Advantage Media Group, Inc.

Associate Vice President of Sales

Position Overview

The Junior Sales Executive (Jr. SE) role is designed for an ambitious early-career sales professional seeking to build a long-term career in consultative sales and business development. This position operates within a collaborative sales pod consisting of a Publisher, Vice President (VP) or Senior Vice President (SVP) of Sales, and Account Manager(s). The Publisher and Jr. SE are responsible for generating, qualifying, and nurturing a consistent pipeline of prospective clients for the VP/SVP, while the broader sales pod works collectively toward shared revenue and client acquisition goals.

The Jr. SE supports qualified new business growth for Advantage | The Authority Company through a combination of inbound lead follow-up and proactive outbound business development. Outbound prospecting efforts may include LinkedIn outreach, speaker and conference research, ZoomInfo, referrals, industry research, and targeted online engagement. Success in the role requires strong communication skills, professionalism, persistence, and a proactive, hunter-oriented mindset.

Prospective client engagement is conducted through a strategic combination of phone calls, email communication, and personalized follow-up, with the primary objective of securing qualified Discovery Calls led by either the Jr. SE or the VP/SVP, depending on the prospect’s qualifications. During the Discovery Call, prospective clients are educated on Advantage’s publishing model, authority-building services, and overall value proposition while alignment is evaluated based on factors such as business objectives, leadership experience, platform strength, budget, and the marketability of the prospect’s expertise, story, or message.

A primary objective of the Discovery Call is securing the sale of the Authority Blueprint, a $2,995 strategic engagement designed to validate and position prospective clients for a successful publishing and authority-building partnership. Once the Authority Blueprint is scheduled, the opportunity transitions to the VP/SVP, who assumes ownership of the remaining sales process and long-term relationship development.

The Authority Blueprint includes two 90-minute strategic sessions:

  • Book Planning Session: Conducted with a professional book planner to develop the prospect’s message, positioning, and strategic book framework, including a chapter-by-chapter outline and developed manuscript content.
  • Vision & Brand Strategy Session: Conducted in partnership with Advantage’s marketing team to evaluate and strengthen the prospect’s digital presence, positioning, visibility, and long-term authority-building strategy.

Ongoing coaching, mentorship, and professional development will be provided primarily by the Sales Director, with additional guidance from the VP/SVP, to support sales competency, business development skills, and long-term career growth. High-performing Junior Sales Executives may be considered for advancement into a Vice President role over time.
