About the Role
As a Selections Consultant, you’ll help homeowners bring their dream backyard to life by guiding them through one of the most exciting stages of their pool journey—selecting the finishes and features that personalize their investment. You’ll lead one-on-one design consultations, provide expert recommendations, and help customers make confident decisions while identifying upgrade opportunities that enhance both the project and the customer experience. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys combining design, relationship-building, and consultative sales to create exceptional results for every homeowner.


General Summary of Position

Responsible for coordinating material selection meetings with homeowners following the sale of a pool. The Selections Consultant will lead and manage assigned customer appointments to maximize upgrade opportunities, provide expert design guidance, and deliver an exceptional customer experience while supporting the successful progression of each project toward excavation.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Design Showroom by maintaining a clean, organized, and customer-focused environment, ensuring showroom displays, collateral, and product materials are current, visually appealing, and support the Anthony & Sylvan brand.
  • Lead customer material selection consultations by proactively scheduling and conducting appointments, providing design guidance and product recommendations, educating homeowners on product features and performance, managing expectations, and recommending upgrades that enhance both the customer experience and project profitability.
  • Manage customer projects and documentation by maintaining customer files, responding to customer questions, processing change requests and addendums, documenting material selections, updating meeting schedules and forecasts, following up on pending orders, and ensuring accurate and timely project records.
  • Support sales performance and business development by tracking and reporting upgrade sales, presenting company-approved marketing and sales information, partnering with the Sales Manager to coordinate showroom improvements and sales events, and identifying opportunities to maximize option sales and showroom performance.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and business systems by updating CRM records, preparing activity logs, sales disposition reports, customer meeting forecasts, and other performance reports to support sales objectives and operational decision-making.
  • Maintain product expertise and customer-focused solutions by staying current on product offerings, design trends, and customer preferences to provide informed recommendations and enhance the overall material selection experience.
  • Support divisional operations by assisting with customer surveys, performing additional sales administrative and operational duties as assigned, and consistently following Anthony & Sylvan Pools' policies, procedures, and service standards.


QUALIFICATIONS – Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Licenses/Certifications

None required

Years of Experience

3+ years of successful business-to-consumer (B2C) sales experience preferred

Required Skills & Abilities

Proven consultative sales, negotiation, and closing skills with the ability to influence customer decisions


Strong customer service orientation and relationship-building skills


Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills


Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow-up and attention to detail


Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment


Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook


Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems


Computer-aided drafting (CAD) and/or design experience preferred


Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while remaining self-motivated and results-driven

Travel Requirements

Local travel as needed

Other Requirements

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays as business needs require


Strong work ethic with the commitment and flexibility needed to achieve sales goals

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds; often greater than 30 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
  • Ability to communicate promptly and clearly via phone and computer
  • Ability to drive or travel between job sites as needed
