Senior Product Manager, Platform

What We're Looking For

We're seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to join the Presentment value stream within Arcadia's Utility Data Platform (UDP) pillar. Presentment owns the customer-facing layer of the utility data pipeline, Plug, UDS, DELI, and DICE, that lets customers and downstream systems manage, retrieve, and consume utility data. This person will help define and drive product requirements for Plug's presentment capabilities — the APIs, delivery workflows, and customer-facing tools that make Arcadia's unified data model usable at scale — partnering closely with the Presentment product lead, who sets overall roadmap direction.

The ideal candidate is comfortable moving between an API spec, a front-end wireframe review, and a cloud architecture discussion, and can turn distinct customer and downstream-team needs into a coherent, well-documented presentment layer. This person should be comfortable using AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude) to boost their own and their team's productivity. Note: this is not an AI-native product role — the mandate is data presentment and delivery, not building AI/ML product features.

The Presentment engineering team consists of 10+ engineers and 2 engineering managers, split across the US and India. This person will collaborate frequently with engineering (India and US), other Presentment and UDP product leads, and cross-functional teams like Customer Success and Operations to ensure the success of their product. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, detail-oriented, and a systems thinker who enjoys breaking complex problems into smaller steps that drive iterative delivery, and who can build and execute roadmaps while coordinating cross-team dependencies to completion.

What You'll Do

• Drive execution of the Plug presentment roadmap — the customer-facing APIs and interfaces that deliver utility data to internal and external consumers.
• Define, prioritize, and ship features that scale Plug across new and existing customer use cases.
• Partner with engineering to evolve the data delivery architecture, including cloud infrastructure (AWS) decisions that affect scale, reliability, and cost.
• Define and maintain clear, well-documented API contracts and specifications for downstream teams and external partners consuming Plug data.
• Collaborate with front-end engineering and design on customer-facing tools (delivery configuration, status/breadcrumb visibility, self-serve workflows).
• Partner with upstream Extraction, Auditing & Storage (EAS) teams to ensure presentment changes stay aligned with the canonical unified data model.
• Write clear product requirements and specs that are easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Own day-to-day management of KTLO and balance run-the-business work and tech-debt reduction against new capability delivery, including evaluating where AI can reduce run-the-business load (without shifting the role's core mandate to AI product work).
• Use AI tools to improve personal and team productivity, and model good AI-assisted workflows for the squad.
• Monitor and communicate progress on initiatives to stakeholders and the leadership team.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with peers in Engineering, Operations, and other UDP value streams (Acquisition, EAS) to deliver on time.
• Contribute to public-facing API documentation (docs.arcadia.com) so external partners and customers can self-serve integration with Plug.

What Will Help You Succeed

Must-Haves

• 6+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time on cloud-based SaaS or data platform products.
• Solid data management fundamentals: familiarity with data models, storage systems (e.g., Snowflake), and how data moves through acquisition, storage, and delivery layers.
• Experience partnering with front-end engineering and design on customer-facing product surfaces (dashboards, configuration tools, self-serve workflows).
• Proven experience defining and documenting APIs, contracts, versioning, and developer-facing documentation, for consumption by multiple downstream teams or external partners.
• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent) and how architecture choices affect product scale, reliability, and cost.
• Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude) to increase personal and team productivity.
• Comfort with ambiguity and iterative delivery in a fast-changing environment.
• Experience working with globally distributed engineering teams across time zones (India/US).
• Demonstrated experience aligning and influencing cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to translate technical tradeoffs for both engineering and business audiences.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in energy, utilities, or fintech/expense-management software.
• Experience with legacy-to-modern platform migrations or system consolidation (relevant to the ongoing UDS → Plug migration).
• Experience with developer-facing APIs/SDKs or API-first product strategy.
• Experience with data governance, master data management, or data cataloging tools.
• Background in a regulated vertical (energy, finance, telecom, healthcare).
