About the Role

Arion Care is seeking a proactive, people-centered Human Resources Manager to maintain and manage the organization’s compliance with state and federal workforce guidelines and laws.  The HR Manager ensures that policies and procedures are executed ethically and within legal parameters.  In addition, the HR Manager supports the development, implementation, and training of HR practices within the organization.


What you'll do

  • Oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of the HR team
  • In partnership with HR Director, recommend HR related procedure improvements.
  • Facilitate resolution of work-related problems between management and employees.
  • Provide support and guidance to HR department, management, and other personnel when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may assist with investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations
  • Act as advisor on employee performance issues
    • Facilitate measures to improve and enhance individual performance
    • Support and collaborate with management on implementation of performance improvement plans
    • Assist with counseling documentation development and conduct formal counseling meetings
  • Train, coach and support management in Human Resources policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Participate in developing department goals and objectives
  • Assist with reports related to personnel data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, etc.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
  • Maintain and update HR documents as needed
  • Follow all company and State policies and procedures

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required
  • 6+ years of progressive Human Resource experience with a focus on Employee Relations
  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing HR team members
  • Knowledge of general HR functions and administrative procedures and systems
  • Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
  • Knowledge in principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation and coordination of people and resources
  • HRCI, SHRM-CP or other HR credentials preferred
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a DPS fingerprint card
