About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in building scalable, high-performing web applications. In this role, you will be a core contributor to our technical ecosystem, taking ownership of significant features and services from initial design through implementation, deployment, and operational support. You will thrive in an Agile/Scrum environment, collaborating closely with Product, Design, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver robust full-stack solutions that drive our business forward.

What you will do:

  • Feature Ownership: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of critical features and services in production, ensuring seamless design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support.
  • API Design & Development: Design, build, and maintain secure RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, handling everything from authentication and authorization to versioning and error handling.
  • Full-Stack Development: Leverage your expertise in primary backend ecosystems while applying a solid understanding of modern front-end technologies (React, Angular, or Vue) to deliver cohesive web applications.
  • Database Management: Design schemas and optimize queries for relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB), with the adaptability to navigate different data paradigms.
  • Quality Assurance: Champion a testable design philosophy by implementing automated testing, including unit, integration, and contract/end-to-end tests.
  • Cloud & CI/CD Collaboration: Build cloud-ready applications and work alongside DevOps teams to ensure your code deploys smoothly on major cloud providers (Azure, AWS, or GCP), successfully plugging your code into existing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).

What you bring:

  • Extensive Experience: 6–8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a minimum of 3–4+ years dedicated to building modern web applications (front-end, back-end, or full-stack).
  • Backend Proficiency: Strong expertise in at least one primary backend language and ecosystem (e.g., C#/.NET, Java/Spring, Node.js/TypeScript, or Python/FastAPI/Django).
  • Web Fundamentals: A solid understanding of core web fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, and browser behavior.
  • Core Engineering Fundamentals: A strong grounding in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and performance optimization.
  • Agile Mindset: Proven experience working efficiently within Agile/Scrum teams and communicating effectively with cross-functional partners.

Nice if you have:

  • Cloud-Native Architecture: Familiarity with cloud-native building blocks, including managed databases, messaging/queueing services, object storage, secrets management, and monitoring/logging.
  • Containerization & Serverless: Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure App Service, AWS ECS/EKS, Lambda, or Cloud Functions.
  • Advanced Cloud Knowledge: A deep understanding of cloud architecture principles, such as scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, cost optimization, and security best practices.
