Assetworx

Infrastructure Technician

About Assetworx

Assetworx is an IT asset disposition and electronics recycling company based in American Fork, Utah. We work with businesses to securely process their retired computer and IT equipment, keeping their data safe and keeping usable hardware out of landfills.

We hold R2v3, ISO 27001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and NAID AAA certifications, which means our data security, environmental, and workplace safety practices are independently audited rather than self-declared. Our team is growing, and we promote from within.

About the role
Our operations depend on reliable, secure infrastructure: the networks, hardware, and systems that keep live production running and give our leaders accurate, real-time visibility into how the business is performing.

As our Infrastructure Technician, you'll build, configure, and maintain that infrastructure. You'll report directly to our Director of Technology and work hands-on with the systems our teams rely on every day. The role is based at our American Fork facility, with occasional days at our Spanish Fork site. We schedule full days at a single location wherever we can.

If you've spent time in a help desk queue waiting on someone else to approve your fix, this is the opposite of that. You'll be working with the operational technology on the warehouse floor, the platforms the business runs on — and much of what you build will be new rather than inherited. There's no layer of management between you and the person making technology decisions, and when something you set up keeps production moving, people here notice. As you grow in the role, there's room to take on additional IT projects and responsibilities.

What you'll do

  • Install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure and cabling across both sites
  • Maintain the hardware and operational technology (OT) that keeps warehouse and processing operations running
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues quickly to minimize downtime
  • Support the integration of core business platforms (such as ERP, CRM, and data pipelines) so tools communicate and duplicate data entry is reduced
  • Document configurations, processes, and changes to keep infrastructure organized and maintainable
  • Take on additional IT projects as you grow in the role

Working conditions

This role combines desk work with hands-on work in an active warehouse environment. Expect time on your feet, work in server and network areas, and regular handling of IT equipment.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently
  • A security-minded approach to systems and data

Preferred Skills:

  • Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA Network+, Security+, CCNA)

Compensation and benefits

  • $21.00–$25.00 per hour
