Strategic Portfolio Transformation Lead

The Strategic Portfolio Transformation Lead is a critical component in helping our clients align strategy with execution through improved governance, operating models, prioritization frameworks, and AI-enabled ways of working. An ideal candidate for our team will have experience leading organizational transformation initiatives, facilitating executive decision-making, and driving alignment across complex stakeholder groups. This role requires the ability to work effectively with both client leadership teams and remote consulting teams.

What you’ll do… 

  • Strategic Transformation Leadership 
    • Lead enterprise transformation initiatives focused on governance, operating model evolution, portfolio management, and organizational effectiveness. 
    • Partner with executive sponsors to define transformation objectives, success metrics, and implementation strategies. 
    • Develop actionable transformation roadmaps that align strategic goals with execution plans. 
    • Provide thought leadership and strategic guidance throughout transformation engagements. 
  • Portfolio Governance & Prioritization 
    • Assess and redesign portfolio governance frameworks to improve decision-making and organizational accountability. 
    • Establish prioritization models that align investments, resources, and initiatives with strategic business objectives. 
    • Facilitate governance forums and executive steering committees. 
    • Develop processes that improve transparency, portfolio visibility, and organizational alignment. 
  • Operating Model Design 
    • Evaluate current-state organizational structures, workflows, and decision-making processes. 
    • Design future-state operating models that enable scalability, agility, and improved business outcomes. 
    • Define governance structures, roles, responsibilities, and decision rights. 
    • Support organizations through operating model adoption and implementation. 
  • Strategic Execution 
    • Partner with executive leadership to operationalize strategic priorities. 
    • Translate high-level objectives into actionable programs and measurable outcomes. 
    • Support organizational change initiatives and drive adoption across teams. 
    • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. 
  • AI-Enabled Ways of Working 
    • Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve operational effectiveness. 
    • Support the development of governance frameworks for responsible AI adoption. 
    • Advise clients on integrating AI capabilities into business processes and operating models. 
    • Stay informed on emerging AI trends and their impact on organizational transformation. 
    • Change Leadership 
    • Drive organizational alignment and stakeholder engagement throughout transformation initiatives. 
    • Support leaders in managing organizational change and adoption efforts. 
    • Develop strategies that promote sustainable transformation outcomes. 
    • Identify and mitigate risks that may impact successful implementation.  

You should have 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Organizational Leadership, Management, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. 
  • 8+ years of experience leading strategic transformation, organizational change, management consulting, portfolio management, or business transformation initiatives. 
  • Demonstrated success partnering with executive stakeholders and senior leadership teams. 
  • Experience designing governance frameworks, operating models, or portfolio management processes. 
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Experience developing strategic roadmaps and translating business objectives into execution plans. 
  • Ability to influence and drive alignment across complex organizations. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. 
  • Experience navigating ambiguity and leading transformation in dynamic environments. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience in management consulting or advisory services. 
  • Experience supporting large enterprise organizations. 
  • Familiarity with portfolio management, PMO, or strategy execution methodologies. 
  • Knowledge of AI governance principles, responsible AI practices, or AI-enabled operating models. 
  • Experience within construction, capital programs, real estate development, or project-driven industries. 
  • Certifications such as Prosci, PMP, PgMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar transformation-focused credentials.
