Senior Implementation Project Lead

Summary:   

As a Senior Implementation Project Lead, you will serve as the single point of accountability for customer implementations across Bamboo Health's portfolio of solutions. You will own projects from Sales transition through production deployment, leading cross-functional teams to deliver successful implementations while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. 

You will partner with customers, implementation engineering, product management, account management, sales, and executive stakeholders to drive projects that range from standard implementations to highly complex, enterprise-scale deployments. 

What You’ll Do:   

  • Own the full implementation lifecycle from Sales handoff through production deployment, stabilization, and transition to ongoing support.  
  • Lead multiple concurrent implementation projects across Bamboo Health's product portfolio, including SaaS applications, statewide initiatives, EHR integrations, analytics solutions, and emerging products within our Care Coordination, Behavioral Health and Controlled Substance product suite.  
  • Develop comprehensive implementation strategies, project plans, timelines, risk mitigation plans, and communication plans that align customer objectives with business goals.  
  • Serve as the trusted advisor and primary point of contact for customers, executive sponsors, state partners, healthcare organizations, and technical stakeholders.  
  • Facilitate project governance, including executive steering committees, status meetings, risk management, issue resolution, and decision tracking.  
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Implementation Engineering, Product Management, Account Management Sales, Marketing, Support, Security, and third-party vendors to ensure successful delivery.  
  • Partner with state agencies, healthcare organizations, EHR vendors, and technical teams to successfully implement complex integrations and workflows.  
  • Drive customer adoption by helping organizations understand implementation strategies, operational workflows, and change management best practices.  
  • Identify implementation risks, technical dependencies, and organizational challenges while proactively developing mitigation strategies.  
  • Measure project health through defined success metrics and communicate progress, risks, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Continuously improve implementation methodologies, documentation, templates, and operational processes to increase delivery efficiency and consistency.  
  • Contribute product expertise and implementation feedback to Product Management to improve customer experience and product scalability.  
  • Mentor Implementation Project Leads by sharing best practices, providing project guidance, and supporting onboarding and professional development.   

What Success Looks Like…   

 In 3 months…   

  • Develop strong knowledge of Bamboo Health's implementation methodology, project governance standards, and internal operational processes.  
  • Build working knowledge across Bamboo Health's portfolio of products and implementation approaches.  
  • Successfully assume ownership of existing customer implementations with guidance from senior team members.  
  • Build trusted relationships with cross-functional teams, customers, and implementation partners.  
  • Demonstrate proficiency using project management tools, documentation standards, and implementation workflows. 

 In 6 months…  

  • Independently lead moderate to highly complex customer implementations from project kickoff through production deployment.  
  • Successfully manage multiple concurrent implementations across different products and customer types.  
  • Lead executive customer meetings while effectively managing project scope, risks, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.  
  • Identify opportunities to improve implementation processes, documentation, and operational efficiency.  
  • Serve as a resource for teammates on implementation best practices and product knowledge. 

In 12 months…  

  • Be recognized as a subject matter expert in Bamboo Health implementation delivery across multiple product lines.  
  • Successfully lead enterprise, statewide, and technically complex implementations involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Drive strategic improvements to implementation methodology, governance, reporting, and customer experience.  
  • Establish best practices that improve implementation quality, consistency, scalability, and customer outcomes.  
  • Mentor new team members and contribute to onboarding, training, and continuous learning initiatives.  
  • Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for operational excellence and improved implementation delivery across the organization.  

What You Need:   

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.  
  • 5+ years of experience leading customer-facing implementations, enterprise project management, consulting, or client delivery.  
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional implementations from project initiation through production deployment.  
  • Experience working with healthcare technology, SaaS software, EHR integrations, interoperability, or enterprise software implementations preferred.  
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including scope, schedule, risk, issue, dependency, and stakeholder management.  
  • Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.  
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority while leading cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate risks and develop practical solutions.  
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with execution while managing multiple competing priorities.  
  • Experience developing executive-level presentations, implementation documentation, and customer communications.  
  • Proficiency with project management platforms (Cloud Coach, MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.  
  • Demonstrated ability to improve operational processes and drive organizational best practices.  
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational, customer relationship, and leadership skill
