Position Summary
Leads daily food service operations for an assigned residence hall, delivering fresh, made-from-scratch meals and excellent customer service in alignment with Upper Crust Food Service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and serve meals in accordance with menus and quality standards
- Order, receive, and manage inventory; submit invoices and receipts accurately and timely
- Develop and post weekly menus as directed
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Support hiring, training, and daily oversight of kitchen staff
- Monitor food costs and support budget adherence
- Build positive relationships with clients, residents, and stakeholders
- Assist with special events and perform general kitchen duties as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of chef or kitchen leadership experience (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen operations
- Ability to lead a team, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
- ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification (or ability to obtain)
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Kitchen environment with exposure to heat, equipment, and noise
- Requires standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 lbs

Full-time; schedule may vary, including evenings and weekends
