Client Service Advocate
Be the reason our clients feel taken care of.
ClearStar is a 30-year leader in background and medical screening technology and a seven-time Inc. 5000 honoree. Behind every hire our clients make is a question that needs a clear, correct answer, and you’ll be the person who gives it. As a Client Service Advocate, you’re the friendly, knowledgeable voice our retail clients count on by phone, email, and live chat. You’ll solve problems, teach them how to get the most from our platforms, and make sure every interaction leaves them feeling confident and well cared for.
What you’ll do
- Delight clients with fast, accurate support across phone, email, and live chat, guiding them through ClearStar’s platforms: Aurora, ScreenMeNow, MIS Admin, and Gateway Tools.
- Get to the right answer. Troubleshoot issues, review service configurations, and give clear, actionable solutions clients can trust.
- Keep the full story straight by documenting every case in Zendesk from intake to resolution, with accuracy and consistency.
- Help clients feel at ease with the technology through virtual demos and screen-sharing sessions on MS Teams, explaining things simply for every level of technical comfort.
- Work with Technical Services, Records & Verification, Sales, Implementation, and Account Management to resolve cases and keep client configurations right.
- Support order management and supplier configuration updates as needed.
- Help us get better by joining system testing and QA, sharing your ideas on features and documentation, and contributing to our knowledge base.
What you’ll bring
- 1–2 years of client service, support, or helpdesk experience in a technology-driven environment
- A genuine love of helping people, and the patience to get every answer right
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with great phone and virtual etiquette
- A sharp eye for detail in case handling, documentation, and data entry
- The ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
- Comfort managing multiple priorities independently

- Associate’s degree or higher preferred; equivalent education and experience considered
Bonus points
- Knowledge of the background screening industry, FCRA, and compliance regulations
- Experience leading virtual training sessions or product demos
- Familiarity with Aurora, ScreenMeNow, MIS Admin, or Gateway Tools
