About This Role

Climate Power En Acción is seeking a highly organized and strategic Senior Associate to serve as a vital bridge between executive leadership, internal campaign teams, and external partners. This multi-faceted role functions as a primary administrative and operational engine, responsible for supporting the Executive Director on critical fundraising initiatives, managing donor touchpoints, and streamlining interdepartmental communication.

Beyond fund development support, the Senior Associate drives the organization's event execution by serving as a key project manager and liaison with Climate Power (CP) and CP Operations. The person in this role ensures that project timelines move seamlessly, event logistics are well executed y, and operational workflows remain aligned across teams. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented communicator who can navigate a fast-moving campaign environment while maintaining a steadfast focus on supporting the infrastructure of the climate movement.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and administrative support to the Executive Director of Climate Power En Accion to drive fundraising initiatives, which includes supporting scheduling, managing the development calendar, and conducting donor research. Repurpose team proposals and campaign documents to create materials for donors. Maintain the fundraising database by tracking donor interactions, pledge fulfillment, and upcoming renewal timelines.
  • Act as the primary internal project manager for En Accion events, from inception to execution, coordinating with the external consultant to ensure contract timelines, budget constraints, and venue specifications are met. Oversee day-of execution, run-of-show logistics, and post-event wrap-up, troubleshooting real-time challenges to ensure a seamless experience for attendees.
  • Support En Accion with incoming campaign requests from the broader Climate Power organization, establishing efficient internal intake systems to triage requests, direct questions to the appropriate team members, and ensure timely follow-up, keeping rapid-response efforts moving smoothly without creating bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate closely with the Climate Power Operations team to streamline processes, manage administrative workflows, and ensure operational alignment.
  • Provide communications support during rapid response moments as needed.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as need and capacity dictates.


Essential Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant prior work experience in project management, event coordination, or executive/operational support within a fast-paced campaign or nonprofit environment.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple projects moving at different speeds, solving complex logistical problems in an innovative, effective, and timely manner across different teams.
  • A positive team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with internal departments, executive leadership, and external partners.
  • Ability to communicate complicated operational or logistical details in simple terms; excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eagle eye for detail and organization.
  • Must be bilingual and fluent in Spanish, both written and verbal.


Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with fundraising workflows, donor tracking, or nonprofit fundraising.
  • Ability and interest in occasional travel for events or in-person staff gatherings.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite, including Docs and Sheets, is strongly preferred.
  • Experience using and maintaining a client CRM is a plus.

The full salary range for this role is listed below, with a given set of years correlating to a fixed 'step' or placement within a salary range. Salaries are otherwise non-negotiable, and not impacted by merit-based performance evaluations or other flexible and/or subjective factors.

Location & Hours of Operations

Climate Power is a remote-first organization based in Washington, DC. This position can be located anywhere in the United States, but must be able to work Monday - Friday 9 am - 6 pm EST, plus weekends and evenings as the work dictates. Occasional travel is required as needed, typically 3-4 times per year.


Our Hiring Timeline and Process

We are accepting applications on a rolling basis and will continue to interview until the position is filled (posting will remain up until position filled).


An ideal start date would be on or before July 31st, 2026. This is a temporary position and is expected to run through December 11th, 2026.


Our interview process generally involves 2 rounds of interviews, ranging in length from 30-60 minutes. All interviews will be conducted via Google Meet or Zoom. Successful candidates that move forward in the hiring process, will be invited to complete a skills assessment activity (for which they will receive payment) and will undergo a vetting process, including reference and background check.
