Technical Studies Manager

Position Overview

Central Nevada Gold is seeking an experienced Technical Study Manager to lead and coordinate technical studies supporting the continued development and reopening of the Mule Canyon Mine in Nevada. The role will be responsible for managing multidisciplinary study work, integrating technical inputs, coordinating consultants, and ensuring studies are completed to appropriate technical, cost, schedule, and reporting standards.

 

The Technical Study Manager will work closely with geology, mining, processing, environmental, permitting, finance, and site leadership to support sound technical and business decisions as Mule Canyon progresses toward operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate technical studies, including the Pre-Feasibility Study and related engineering work.
  • Manage multidisciplinary technical inputs across mining, metallurgy, processing, infrastructure, environmental, permitting, and capital planning.
  • Coordinate external engineering firms, consultants, and technical specialists.
  • Develop and manage study schedules, budgets, deliverables, and key milestones.
  • Ensure technical work is appropriately integrated and aligned with project objectives and applicable reporting requirements.
  • Review engineering designs, assumptions, cost estimates, schedules, and technical recommendations.
  • Identify technical risks, opportunities, trade-offs, and areas requiring additional investigation.
  • Support evaluation of development options, operating strategies, capital requirements, and economic scenarios.
  • Work closely with site and corporate leadership to translate study outcomes into practical execution plans.
  • Prepare technical updates, recommendations, and presentations for senior management and other stakeholders.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Process Engineering, Geology, or a related technical discipline.
  • Significant experience managing mining studies, engineering programs, or mine development projects.
  • Demonstrated experience with PFS, feasibility, or comparable multidisciplinary technical studies.
  • Strong understanding of mine planning, processing, infrastructure, capital estimating, and project economics.
  • Experience managing engineering consultants and multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Strong project management, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with North American mining operations or development projects preferred.


Reporting Structure

This position reports to senior leadership and works cross-functionally with geology, engineering, operations, and corporate teams.
