Culture Kings

Specialist, Social Media

About the Role

Culture Kings is seeking a high-caliber Social Media Specialist to own the execution and creative vision of our U.S. social media presence. This is not a support role — it's a strategic seat at the table for someone who lives and breathes culture, understands what makes content resonate, and can operate with ownership and speed in a fast-moving brand environment.

You'll partner closely with the Global Social Media Manager, U.S. Brand Marketing, Creative, Ecommerce, and Influencer Marketing teams to translate go-to-market priorities into compelling social content. You know the U.S. consumer deeply, you're plugged into fashion, street culture, music, and sports, and you understand how to bring a brand to life through social-first storytelling that actually connects.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy & Calendar Ownership

• Own and drive the U.S. social media marketing calendar, ensuring all product launches, campaigns, collaborations, retail activations, and cultural moments are planned and executed with precision.

• Align social content plans with broader U.S. marketing and campaign timelines, proactively identifying gaps and opportunities.

• Exercise independent judgment in prioritizing content needs and making real-time publishing decisions that reflect brand standards and market relevance.

• Identify and capitalize on culturally relevant moments that allow Culture Kings to show up authentically in the U.S. market.

Content Creation & Creative Direction

• Conceive, capture, and produce social-first content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Reels, Stories, Threads, and emerging platforms — with a strong point of view and a high creative bar.

• Direct and capture photo and video content at campaigns, photoshoots, retail activations, creator visits, and brand events.

• Edit and package content for multi-platform distribution, maintaining brand consistency while adapting to platform-native formats.

• Bring fresh creative concepts and content ideas that push the brand forward and resonate with the U.S. audience.

Go-to-Market & Creative Briefing

• Lead U.S. social media representation across regional go-to-market checkpoints, ensuring social content needs are clearly defined and actioned.

• Develop detailed content briefs, shot lists, asset requests, and platform-specific deliverables that set the creative team up for success.

• Communicate content gaps, timing requirements, and regional priorities with clarity and urgency to cross-functional partners.

Community & Brand Presence

• Manage day-to-day community engagement across U.S. social channels — including comments, DMs, mentions, and UGC — with a voice that reflects the Culture Kings brand.

• Foster meaningful relationships with customers, creators, and community members to build brand affinity and loyalty.

• Monitor and engage with trending conversations, escalating brand reputation concerns when appropriate.

Performance & Insights

• Track and analyze social content performance, audience engagement, and platform trends to inform ongoing strategy and optimization.

• Provide clear, actionable insights and recommendations to the Global Social Media Manager.

• Maintain organized content calendars, publishing schedules, campaign trackers, and asset libraries.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing — ideally within fashion, streetwear, lifestyle, retail, or youth culture.

• Proven ability to create high-quality, platform-native content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Reels using mobile and professional tools.

• Deep understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, content formats, and best practices.

•  Strong creative instincts with the ability to develop concepts and execute them independently.

•  Experience supporting or leading go-to-market processes, content briefing, and cross-functional collaboration.

•  Proficient in social media scheduling, analytics, and content management platforms.

•  Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.

•  Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.

What Sets You Apart

• You are deeply connected to U.S. fashion, street culture, music, sports, and internet culture — and it shows in your content.

• You operate with ownership. You don't wait to be told what to do; you see opportunities and move on them.

•  You have a strong aesthetic and brand sensibility — you know what looks right, sounds right, and performs.

•  You thrive in fast-paced environments and can balance creative excellence with operational rigor.

•  You're a collaborative communicator who earns trust quickly across creative, marketing, and commercial teams.
