Sanitation Safety Supervisor

Why Ecowize?

At Ecowize North America, we go beyond cleaning food production facilities — we safeguard public health and drive operational excellence. As part of our team, you’ll join a mission-driven organization committed to food safety, innovation, and people development. If you’re ready to lead, inspire, and make a measurable difference, this role is for you.

Your Role: Sanitation Safety Supervisor

As a Sanitation Safety Supervisor, you will combine operational leadership, safety compliance, and administrative oversight to lead our sanitation operations and maintain a clean, safe, and regulatory-compliant facility.

In this role, you will oversee daily sanitation processes, enforce strict safety protocols (OSHA, LOTO, chemical safety), manage chemical inventories, and maintain detailed compliance logs. You will lead and train site technicians, conduct pre-operational and plant safety audits, and drive continuous improvement. You’ll report to a Site Manager and work directly with plant personnel, operations, and leadership to ensure our teams execute flawless, safe shifts every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sanitation Management & Oversight: Direct daily cleaning operations, crew schedules, and Master Sanitation Schedules (MSS) for production lines, equipment, and facility areas.
  • Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, SQF, SSOP, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards across all shifts.
  • Clerical & Documentation Management: Maintain accurate sanitation logs, chemical inventory records, corrective action reports (CARs), and pre-operational inspection checklists using plant tracking software and spreadsheets.
  • Chemical & Supply Control: Monitor chemical concentrations, conduct titration/soap strength tests, and oversee inventory of disinfectants, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and sanitation supplies.
  • Auditing & Inspections: Perform pre-operational and random facility audits, investigate non-compliance findings, and manage corrective actions.
  • Staff Training & Leadership: Train, lead, and mentor sanitation technicians on chemical handling, Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO), HAZCOMM, site safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.
  • Team Support: Maintain open communication across shifts, support team members, and assist with hands-on duties as needed to ensure operational goals are met.

  • Collaborate: Work well with teammates, support others, and share credit for successes.
  • Focus on the Customer: Deliver consistent, high-quality work that earns client trust and satisfaction.

  • Adapt to Situations: Adjust to changing tasks, environments, and priorities on the job.

Our Values in Action

  • Partnership: You work together with teammates, clients, and supervisors to get the job done right.
  • Excellence: You take pride in your work, follow procedures, and deliver consistent, high-quality results.
