Position Summary 

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented HR Operations Intern to support our People team during a high-impact summer. This is not a passive internship — you’ll be embedded in live system rollouts, contribute to people processes that scale with the company, and work alongside a team that moves fast and takes quality seriously.

 

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and eager to build hands-on experience across HR systems, performance management, recruiting coordination, and policy operations. This role is based in Austin, TX and requires consistent in-office presence.


Key Responsibilities 

HR Systems & Technology

  • Support the rollout and configuration of Rippling (HRIS/ATS), including data entry, testing, and user coordination
  • Assist with the implementation of Claude AI workflows to improve HR team efficiency
  • Help maintain data integrity across HR platforms and flag issues proactively
  • Create reference materials, guides, and SOPs to support team adoption of new tools

Performance Management

  • Assist in coordinating the mid-year review cycle using Lattice, including timeline tracking and communications
  • Ensure employee and manager tasks are completed on schedule by managing follow-ups and reminders
  • Prepare summary reports and assist with data pulls to support HR leadership

Recruiting Coordination

  • Coordinate candidate scheduling and manage communications throughout the hiring process, ensuring a timely and professional experience
  • Partner with hiring managers to track open roles, interview pipelines, and next steps
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records within Rippling or relevant ATS platforms
  • Support job posting logistics and assist with sourcing coordination as needed

Onboarding

  • Support logistics and coordination for new hire onboarding, including scheduling, materials preparation, and system access setup
  • Serve as a point of contact for new hires navigating their first days, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience
  • Track onboarding task completion and follow up with stakeholders to keep the process on schedule
  • Identify gaps or friction points in the onboarding process and flag recommendations for improvement

Policy Review & Documentation

  • Support the audit and refresh of existing HR policies and employee-facing documentation
  • Help draft updates in clear, consistent language aligned with company standards
  • Maintain organized version control and ensure documentation is accessible and current

General HR Operations

  • Manage multiple concurrent workstreams with strong attention to detail and clear prioritization
  • Contribute to a positive team experience by handling operational logistics accurately and on time


Candidate Profile 

Required Experience 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
  • Available to start immediately and commit through the end of summer
  • Based in Austin, TX with the ability to work in-office regularly
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong written communication skills — you can write clearly, professionally, and concisely
  • Self-starter who takes ownership and follows through without needing to be reminded

Preferred 

  • Prior coursework or experience in HR, people operations, or business administration
  • Familiarity with HRIS or performance management platforms (Rippling, Lattice, or similar)
  • Comfort with technology and genuine curiosity about AI tools and how they can improve workflows
  • Experience managing documents, trackers, or administrative processes in a professional setting
