Role Overview

We’re looking for a Software Engineering Intern with an interest in distributed systems and AI infrastructure to join our engineering team. You’ll work on the foundational systems that power AI-driven products, focusing on scalability, performance, and reliability. This role offers hands-on experience building and operating backend infrastructure that supports model training, deployment, and inference at scale.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain backend services and infrastructure using Python, Go, or Java
• Develop and optimize systems for model serving, inference pipelines, and data processing
• Work on infrastructure components such as APIs, job orchestration, and distributed systems
• Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability across AI workloads
• Collaborate with engineers to design and implement robust, production-grade systems
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code and contribute to engineering best practices

What You'll Need to Be Successful

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or Java
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and core systems concepts (e.g., concurrency, networking, memory management)
• Familiarity with backend systems and infrastructure fundamentals (APIs, services, system design basics)
• Interest in distributed systems and AI infrastructure
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Exposure to distributed systems, data pipelines, or large-scale systems design
• Experience working with model serving frameworks or inference systems
• Understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability tools
• Hands-on projects involving infrastructure, backend systems, or AI platforms
