About the role


Happy to Help Caregiving is hiring a dependable on-call caregiver to support clients in Morgantown and nearby Monongalia County communities, including Westover, Star City, Granville, and Cheat Lake. This is an onsite, client-home role for someone who can remain ready during scheduled standby hours and respond quickly when a client shift opens.


Schedule and compensation


• Monday through Friday, with core availability from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

• 25 guaranteed hours per week for the 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM standby block.

• Additional hours are paid at the standard hourly rate for client care after 1:00 PM or when a shift extends beyond 5:00 PM.

• Weekly pay every Friday.

• Optional weekend shifts may be available.


Service area and response expectations


• Serve client homes in Morgantown and nearby Monongalia County communities.

• Respond to dispatch notifications within five minutes.

• Leave for an assignment within 15 minutes.

• Be ready to arrive at the first assigned client home at 8:00 AM when needed.

• Keep your phone charged and audible, your vehicle reliable and fueled, and caregiving supplies ready.

• Local travel is required; mileage reimbursement is available according to company policy.


What you will do


• Provide compassionate companionship, personal care, respite care, and other non-medical in-home support based on each client’s care plan.

• Step into open shifts on short notice and help maintain continuity of care.

• Communicate promptly and professionally with the office and care team.

• Document care accurately and follow safety, privacy, and client-specific requirements.


Requirements


• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.

• Ability to pass required background and eligibility checks.

• Dependable, professional, and comfortable accepting assignments on short notice.

• Strong communication and time-management skills.

• CNA certification is preferred but not required.
