We're looking for a Junior and/or Senior QA Engineer / SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to help us ship reliable software. You'll work closely with developers and product owners to design test plans, write automated tests, and catch issues before they reach customers. This is a great role for someone early in their QA career who wants to grow into automation, tooling, and full test-strategy ownership.
• Write and execute manual test cases for new features and bug fixes.
• Build and maintain automated test scripts for web UI, API, and/or mobile app testing.
• Participate in test planning: identify test scenarios, edge cases, and acceptance criteria alongside developers and product managers.
• Log, triage, and track defects clearly and reproducibly using our issue tracker.
• Run and maintain regression test suites as part of our CI/CD pipeline.
• Perform basic API testing (request/response validation, status codes, payload checks).
• Collaborate with engineers to understand root causes and verify fixes.
• Continuously suggest improvements to test coverage, tooling, and process.
• 0-2 years of experience in software quality assurance or a related technical role (internships count).
• Basic understanding of software testing concepts: test cases, test plans, regression, smoke/sanity testing, black-box vs. white-box testing.
• Exposure to at least one automation framework (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress).
• Familiarity with a scripting/programming language (JavaScript, Python, or Java preferred).
• Basic SQL skills for querying and validating data.
• Understanding of version control (Git) and willingness to work within a CI/CD pipeline.
• Strong attention to detail and clear written communication for bug reports and documentation.
• A curious, quality-first mindset and comfort asking “what happens if...” questions.
• 5+ years of experience in QA/SDET roles, with substantial hands-on test automation experience.
• Deep, practical expertise in Playwright (or a comparable modern framework): custom fixtures, parallelization, retries, tracing/reporting.
• Track record of designing or significantly scaling a test automation framework, not just writing individual tests.
• Strong programming/scripting skills (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java).
• Solid experience with API testing, contract testing, and integrating automated suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude) to accelerate test design and automation, with clear judgment on when to trust AI output and when it needs human review.
• Experience mentoring or leading the test strategy for a team, including reviewing others' automated tests.
• Advanced SQL skills for data validation, test data setup, and investigating discrepancies between application and database state.
• Strong communication skills — able to make a risk-based case for (or against) shipping, and to influence engineering and product decisions.
• Experience testing mobile apps (iOS/Android) or with tools like Appium.
• Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
• Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Gherkin).
• Coursework, bootcamp, or certification in software testing or computer science.
• Experience with cloud-based test grids (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs) or containerized test environments (Docker).
• Experience with performance/load testing (e.g., k6, JMeter).
• Familiarity with security testing fundamentals (OWASP Top 10, basic vulnerability scanning).
• Mobile automation experience (Appium) or experience testing native iOS/Android apps.
• Experience building internal tooling or dashboards for test reporting and quality metrics.
• Experience with cloud-based test grids (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs) or containerized test environments (Docker).
• Public writing, talks, or open-source contributions related to test automation or QA practice.
Selenium / Playwright, Postman, Git & GitHub, Jira, Jenkins / GitHub Actions, SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL), Docker.
