About the role:

The successful candidate for this position will oversee four machine operators who run multiple presses. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Floor Production Lead is responsible for keeping production running smoothly, function as a dedicated material handler to their team, assist with post job clean up and complete any required paperwork or documentation. We are looking for a leader who can work as an integral part of the team but is self-directed as well.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• High level overview of all activities that take place in assigned section.
• Direct multiple employees with the support of shift supervisor.
• Understand the production schedule to ensure efficiency of start-ups and shutdowns.
• Communicate press/part issues with process techs.
• Maintain material handling requirements within section.
• Completion of all required paperwork and verify accuracy of job orders.
• Perform quality checks.

Requirements:

• 2 Years- Production Lead or Supervisor in a Manufacturing Environment preferred.
• Forklift Certification - Stand up or Sit down.
• Ability to manage frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic

Work Environment:

• Exposure to loud noise levels.
• Humidity levels are elevated during summer months; plant floor is not climate controlled.
• Must be physically capable of performing job related tasks and job duties.
• This position requires extended periods of standing and walking.
• Lift objects up to 30 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds regularly.
