About the role

  • We are seeking a Sales Engineer to partner with our sales team, ensuring client needs are translated into the right technical solutions. This role requires strong communication, technical aptitude and a consultative approach to problem-solving. This is a remote position with up to 15% travel for events, onboarding and client presentations.

What you'll do

  • Partner with Account Executives on deals, providing technical support, discovery, and product demonstrations.
  • Serve as the liaison between Sales and internal stakeholders (Implementation, Product, Security) for client success.
  • Take ownership of Scope of Work (SOW) documents, technical/security questionnaires, and RFP technical responses.
  • Translate client requirements into actionable insights for internal teams and product development.
  • Build, document, and refine solutioning processes and support materials.
  • Own product demonstration processes and training.
  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for Sales on solution and technical matters.
  • Test and validate new product features and releases.

What you'll need to be successful

Preferred Experience:

  • Sales Experience: 2+ years of experience in SaaS, consulting, pre-sales support or solution engineering.
  • Government Sector Knowledge: Familiarity with the public sector and how government agencies evaluate a solution.
  • Experience working with a CRM (HubSpot), Microsoft (Teams, PowerPoint, etc.).

Additional Skills and Attributes:

  • Strategic Solutioning: Ability to align a client’s requirements, challenges and desired outcomes with the right technical solution.
  • Security Expertise: Familiarity with compliance and security standards: SOC 2, CJIS, GovRAMP, HIPAA, FedRAMP, etc.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Ability to explain and discuss security controls with clients and translate compliance requirements.
  • Collaboration: Experience working cross-functionally with Implementation, Product, Development and Security for deal assistance and solution growth.
  • Communication: Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Results-Driven: Track record of consistently exceeding KPI goals in competitive and high-pressure environments.
  • Adaptability: Experience navigating and thriving in rapidly changing, fast-paced business environments.
  • Cultural Fit: Demonstrated embodiment of the company’s culture code, values, and leadership philosophy.
