About the role

Kaimetrix is seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Quality Assurance Analyst to support DevSecOps software development and testing activities for DCD mission applications. This role ensures software systems are secure, reliable, and operationally effective across classified environments.

Location: Fort Belvoir, VA (on‑site, classified networks)

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute test plans for mission‑critical software applications
  • Perform manual and automated testing in Agile and DevSecOps environments
  • Define acceptance criteria and support sprint planning and execution
  • Collaborate with developers to identify, track, and resolve defects
  • Maintain QA documentation, SOPs, and testing repositories
  • Support release readiness reviews and deployment testing
  • Validate system functionality across NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS networks

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
  • Experience supporting Agile development and DevSecOps practices
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks
  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI polygraph
  • DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure DevOps
  • Experience testing web applications and APIs
  • Experience supporting classified mission systems
