About the Role

Kinetic Custom Trailers is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Buyer to join our team on site. This role is ideal for a purchasing professional with strong manufacturing experience who can operate independently, build supplier relationships, and support a fast-paced production environment.

This position is a step above a traditional Buyer role and is intended for someone who brings both strategic purchasing capability and hands-on execution. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring materials, components, and services are sourced efficiently to support operational demands and company growth.

Key Responsibilities 

• Manage purchasing activities for production materials, components, and operational supplies
• Develop and maintain strong supplier and vendor relationships
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supply agreements
• Monitor inventory levels and support production planning requirements
• Work closely with operations, production, and project teams to ensure material availability
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
• Track supplier performance related to quality, delivery, and reliability
• Assist in forecasting and procurement planning for upcoming projects and workloads
• Ensure purchasing activities align with company policies and production schedules

Required Qualifications 

• Minimum 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business, Procurement, or a related field
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and production flow
• Experience sourcing fabricated components, industrial materials, or custom manufacturing parts
• Excellent negotiation, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work on site in a fast-paced and collaborative environment

What We Offer 

• Competitive Pay: $90,000 to $105,000 USD, based on experience

Schedule & Work Details 

• Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

• Location: On-site in Waco Texas

• Environment: Industrial manufacturing environment, shop floor and office.
